Picture a corporate headquarters spanning 42,050 square meters across multiple floors, where every corridor, boardroom, and workspace speaks the same visual language. Dang Ming and the HONG Designworks team achieved remarkable spatial coherence with the Chinlink Office in Xi'an, China. The Golden A' Design Award winning project demonstrates how the simplest visual building blocks, specifically dots, lines, and planes, combine into a geometric vocabulary capable of unifying vast corporate environments. The design team created varying beautiful patterns from fundamental geometric elements, patterns that guide movement, define functional zones, and establish visual hierarchy without monotony. The Chinlink Office occupies floors 18 through 20 for daily work activities and floors 23 through 25 for boardroom functions, with a spiral staircase creating vertical continuity throughout. The design team deployed different carpet styles to distinguish functional areas while maintaining geometric consistency across all zones. Color serves as what the designers term the narrator of space language, creating progressive nodes that guide occupants through spatial sequences.
