Classical four movement narrative transforms a sales office into choreographed brand experience for enterprises

What happens when a sales office feels like walking through an urban park? Central Park by Kris Lin provides an extraordinary answer through a 1500 square meter reception center in Xi'an, China. Positioned adjacent to the largest urban ecological park in Xi'an spanning 113.4 hectares, the project translates outdoor serenity into interior experience using a classical Chinese literary framework: introduction, elucidation, transition, and summary. Four movements guide visitors through pavilion, falling leaves, lake water, and lonely tree sequences, transforming functional commercial space into choreographed narrative. For Gemdale Group, one of China's prominent real estate developers, the investment created a three-dimensional brand story where every spatial element reinforces the connection between nature and architecture. Kris Lin and co-director Jiayu Yang demonstrated that customer experience design can borrow structure from unexpected disciplines.
The glazed leaf installation running throughout Central Park illustrates how signature elements create lasting brand associations. Leaves begin falling at one side of the foyer, cascade across the ceiling, and descend into a reflective pool below. The visual effect suggests wind carrying foliage indoors, producing kinetic energy within static architecture. Visitors encountering Central Park experience progression rather than mere presentation. Central Park earned the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design in 2020, recognition that validated investment in experiential quality for Gemdale Group.
