320 Metal Pieces and Two Materials Create an Award-Winning Cultural Destination in 28 Days

Walk into Chengdu Gift and 320 white metal pieces shaped like ginkgo leaves arch overhead, forming a luminous dome that filters light into something almost ethereal. Hong Li accomplished visual complexity using essentially two materials: stainless steel plates cut into the distinctive fan shape and transparent glass panels for product display. The constraint becomes liberation. Rather than layering surfaces and textures, Li concentrated all creative energy on a single transformative gesture.
